MEETING MINUTES
February 5, 2004

MEMBERS PRESENT: Robert Ricker, Kimberly Ferguson, Sharon McManus and Peter Brennan
MEMBERS ABSENT: Joanne O Brien
STAFF: Pamela Harding, Town Planner
The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.
Sotir Papalilo was present and informed the Committee that he received a site eligibility letter from the Department of Housing and Community Development and was approaching the Committee for any input prior to submission of the formal application with the Town Clerk. The Committee provided him with a sample monitoring agreement utilized for other housing projects. The Committee requested that Town Counsel review the agreement and provide comments to the Zoning Board of Appeals.
Mr. Papalilo asked how the Committee would like him to proceed. The Committee requested that preliminary information be provided to the ZBA and he can provide additional, more detailed information as they request. He invited the committee to attend the lottery process that is being conducted in Uxbridge, another 40 B project that is under construction. The applicatn stated preliminary information be submitted to the Zoning Board of Appeals prior to the submission of a plan to the Department of Conservation and Recreation.
The Committee reviewed the status of the Putnam Lane lots and how the Selectmen voted t to take no action. Selectman White stated “the Town should not be in the business of providing affordable housing” Many of the members were greatly discouraged by the lack of support.
Meeting minutes were from 3/13/03 through 10/16/03 were approved.
The meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
